We're having some renovations done to our home, and I need to move a 5-year-old climbing rose bush. Should I cut it all the way back and then re-plant it, or should I leave it as intact as possible and move it?
How do I move a climbing rose bush?
I would cut it back by at least a third, or as far as you have to to make it manageable. Then transplant it very tenderly and give it lots of water, but no fertilizer until it starts to grow again.
