Best time to plant rose bushes in Ireland?

Hiya,

I've got three beautiful rose bushes in my garden but I need to plant some more.

I've got a couple of questions.

1. When is the best time to plant rose bushes in Ireland?

and,

2. While all of the existing roses bushes are in full bloom now, one of them seems to die off or fade very quickly. The petals turn black then white, before dropping off. What can I do about this?

Thank you.

You can plant rose bushes any time of the year really but Autumn winter is best. The plant is dormant and the ground is nice and cool. Before the summer sun so as not to burn the plant.

As for the second question, thats a tuff one. Does it have any sign of little white insects on it? (aphids) or any insect at all? Not sure what it is but some sort of insect spray should do it. Take a diseased bloom into your local nursery. They may know what it is.

Hope this helps
